I received my rocker yesterday. WOW! Besides being a beautiful piece of furniture it's a piece of art! I sat in it every chance I could. It does wonders for my aching back. It fits me perfectly and I love running my hands over the beautiful finish! I had a place picked out in my living room and it's perfect! Thank you for the wonderful craftsmanship. Hi Gary,

Greetings from Whistler, BC. Here are a few pictures of W. and Myself with our Weeks Rocker. As you can see in the second picture, the nursery is nearing completion with paint etc. . . . just a few things left to do . . . but the bags are packed in the event of an early arrival of baby.

We are so happy with the beautiful craftsmanship and obvious care that goes into the Weeks Rocker. As the pictures show, the rocker looks incredible in the room. The Chair far exceeded my expectation when ordering. The chair is the first family heirloom that W. and I have introduced to the family, and we look forward to future generations taking pride in having it be passed on in the family.

Thanks again for all your help in getting this chair to me on time. We will update you when the baby comes and be sure to send along a few photos with baby and us with the chair.

K. LOVES her rocker. I can't say she has been off her rocker since it got here. This has been the best birthday present I have ever gotten her. OK, she did pick it out and I just ordered it, but WOW, she is happy.

I have to tell you, the picture in the New Yorker doesn't do your work justice. You and your team are truly artists. The chair is beautiful.

By the way, your packaging was ingenious. We especially liked how you only used the foam packaging in the minimum spots you needed since that stuff doesn't recycle well.

Not only did I enjoy talking with you on the phone when I ordered, the whole process start to finish with your wonderful chair up to and including your email below has been great.

It arrived without a blemish. M. and K. were absolutely thrilled! The baby is due any day now and M.'s Mom is packed with a plane ticket in her purse. Thanks for the great design and workmanship. The plaque was also a surprise and they immediately realized they had a family heirloom, and a most useful one at that. The rocker will be put to a most valuable service very soon. I will be in Phoenix for Christmas and will get to see it and put it to use with the new grandson. What a thrill!

Dear Gary,

As you are aware, I was in for a wonderful surprise upon my return to my home in Winnipeg. The container was in the garage and it immediately tweaked my curiosity. When Stewart told me it was an anniversary gift I decided to open it a bit later. This allowed some time for a guessing game. Needless to say, I could not figure it out.

What a beautiful rocker. It is a work of art. I wanted to put it on a pedestal so everyone would be able to admire the beauty of the wood but the rocker's form invites me to sit and relax.

The rocker arrived on time without damage of any kind due it's being very well packed and crated by your staff. The chair is gorgeous — its flowing lines, the way the figure in the wood has been matched, details like the slight bevel in the arms where a person's forearms would naturally rest, and the way it's been oiled are a wonderful example of craftsmanship — is one of the most treasured things in our home. I also want to express my thanks for the regular and ongoing correspondence during the interval from order to delivery. It's been a pleasure to deal with you.

I recently purchased my second rocking chair from Gary Weeks, having found my first one to be the most comfortable rocker that I have ever sat in. I found them to be extremely courteous and accommodating, and the price of the chair to be very reasonable for a custom rocking chair. My second chair initially arrived damaged from shipping, and they were understanding and swiftly replaced it. I can't recommend them enough!

Just wanted to let you know how much our son and daughter-in-law appreciate your wonderful rocker. It arrived at their home today in perfect condition. The first words from our son were, "the finish is so spectacular that it feels soft" — followed immediately by, "this is the most beautiful piece of furniture that I have ever seen".

Hi Gary,

I meant to write you as soon as the chair was delivered on August 2nd, but it turns out we were busy with another delivery that day. Our daughter was born at 10pm! Grandpa came home from the hospital to receive the chair, where it sat until I opened the crate this morning.

It is now our favorite place to nurse, cuddle, and contemplate our amazing little N. (as you can see in the attached picture). The chair is truly beautiful, and I'm very happy with our choice of cherry.

I meant to e-mail you earlier. The rocker chair arrived about 11:30am with no problems. I had to laugh a bit at the delivery because it was delivered in a full-size semi and when the driver opened up the back to take the chair out, the whole truck was empty except for the one box with the chair. I asked the driver about it and he just said it was a slow day.

Anyway, the chair is beautiful and we are having lots of fun sharing it. I'm sure this will give us many, many years of enjoyment.

Hello Gary,

Thanks again for sending the felt pads, we received them today. I can now remove the unsightly blanket I put under the rocker.

When F. tore off the bubble wrap to expose the rich walnut wood we were all excited by what we saw. The wood grain and satin finish is sweet (OK exquisite). He thinks it's both comfortable and good looking. We are lucky to have one of your rockers.

F. said, "He plans to spend a lot of waking hours, as well as non-waking hours in the rocker".

Dear Gary,

I can't thank you enough for bringing my "Katrina-soaked" Weeks Rocker back to it's original beauty.

Despite lying in 7 and 1/2 feet of Hurricane Katrina's flood waters for well over a week, I found my Weeks walnut rocker intact. Months after the flood I used soap and water to clean off a layer of dirt and mold from the rocker. I was amazed at how good the finish looked and how well the rocker held together. I appreciate the work you recently did to restore it for me.

I lost my home and virtually all of my possessions to Katrina's flood waters,
including a collection of Ethan Allen solid cherry furniture which just broke apart. So I am especially pleased with the quality and craftsmanship you put into your furniture that allowed my rocker to survive Katrina.
