It was very difficult to stop rocking and send this email. My rocker and side table induce comfort and calm. It may be a while before I'm willing to share. The walnut is gorgeous! Wow, the rocker arrived as promised. The shipping container was fully intact with no signs of being mishandled. After unpacking, the chair was in perfect condition, and beautiful as ever. My mom cried tears of gratitude, and rocked in it with the smile of a happy child on her face. The fit is perfect and the craftsmanship is outstanding. Yes, the rockers and footstool arrived in excellent condition last week. We appreciated the packaging design and how well protected they were during shipment.

And, I must say, the design, craftsmanship, and comfort of the rockers is unparalleled. I keep looking at the joinery, the curves, the grain — and I continue to find things that amaze me (especially as a woodworking enthusiast). I continue to run my hands along the edges, and find these complex curves and shapes that are so pleasing to the hand, and the eye. And, to top it off, it’s a real test to see two rockers side by side, and admire the repeatability of your work. We absolutely love them.

In addition, your customer experience has been excellent. From ordering, to payment, to delivery, to followup, and all of the communication along the way. That stuff is not easy to do well, and it is obvious that you put a priority on getting these right. Thank you.

When Forrest called I told him I was tickled to hear from him and he said that he had the world's most beautiful rocking chair on his truck for me. He was not lying! It is absolutely gorgeous! The grain is beautiful, the matching and alignment of the grain on separate pieces is amazing and the workmanship is beyond anything I've seen. Every day I find some detailed piece of craftsmanship that blows me away. If you can't tell, I LOVE the chair.

The one question I have is care and feeding for the chair. From the website it would appear the my rocker has an oil finish and not wanting to do anything that might detract from it's beauty I'd appreciate knowing what you would recommend to clean and treat it. Hi Gary and Autumn – the rocker, footstool and table arrived on Friday, March 5th.

I must say, the packing in the those containers was so secure. Everything arrived with our a scratch and shipping boxes showed no sign of being dropped or crushed.

THE GARY WEEKS ROCKING CHAIR EXPERIENCE

Most of my adult life I searched for the perfect chair.

When I opened the box of my brand-new rocker, I was struck by the beautiful color and finish.

As soon as I sat in it, I totally relaxed. I could sit in the rocker without it moving or, just by almost thinking or moving my toes slightly, it would begin to rock.

The sheer sturdiness of its composition. The smoothness of the finish was like silk on wood.

I felt like I was sitting in a tree in a garden.

The slats on the back supports the concavity of the lumbar spine, as does the neck for the cervical spine. It is pitched perfectly as if he understands the mechanics of the body.

The arms slightly swerve backwards to the let the blood flow back to the heart. The arm rests allow you to support the arms and hands without fear of them falling off.

The embedded dowels and the little touches give the chair a classic stature. The wood is friendly to the body and almost needs no cushion.

One feels close to nature, especially in New York City.

The furniture is holding up great. We’ve had a few sunny afternoons to enjoy it. The porch faces West-Southwest and warms up quite a lot when the sun makes an appearance. Today it is around 50 degrees and the light rain is coming in sideways. They are, without a doubt, the finest rocking chairs in which I have had the pleasure to sit.

The rocker is the only chair I have used since Christmas, it is wonderful. I keep running my hands over it and feeling the perfect edges and transitions. I love the ridge on the front of the rear leg that runs from the crest rail and disappears into the arm rest and the carefully chiseled chamfer where the crest blends into the leg. I keep reaching down to feel the crisp sharp corners of the seat corner against the smooth edges of the rear leg. I tried to find some sign of imperfection and nothing, it is hard to tell that human hands have touched it

The rocker is by far the nicest piece of furniture that I will ever own but on a $ per hour basis I suspect it will end up being the cheapest!

What a uniquely exquisite shopping experience!! Found Gary’s website searching for a special rocker for my wife. Hand made in USA, high quality wood options, clearly intelligent but subtle design modifications for comfort...so that’s a great product! What blew me away was a personal phone call from Gary to discuss an inlay question I had, shipping options close to Christmas, any other questions or requests I might have...all with that endearing TX accent and mirrors the authentic and sincere videos on the website. yes, it made it here safe and sound! and you are right, it is a bit unnerving to order something unseen. Frankly, we were slightly surprised by how large it is. However, it does not feel big when you sit in it — and it is so comfortable it is difficult to tell that it is made of hard wood! I love how comfortable it is, the nice craftsmanship, and knowing it is well built and will last many years (or generations…) to come.

Let me say that in addition to the great comfort and good construction, I am truly impressed by the attention to detail, such as the centering of grain pattern on the seat and back, and matching grain lines to neighboring wood pieces. Know that it does not go unnoticed or unappreciated!

Just so you’re aware, the freight company never updated the tracking information nor did they contact us before delivery. I simply got a phone call from the driver when he was at my home and nobody was there to receive the chair. In this case, everything worked out fine, so no problem, but I thought you’d like to know.

Thanks again! We’re looking forward to rocking our new baby in another 6 weeks or so!

Rocker, table and chairs are wonderful. Sometimes I just stop and grin at them, like a piece of art.

Run my hand over them, feel the thickness of that solid table top, the contours of the rocker arms. I appreciate things that are designed and made well. The pride shows through. That's what I like in my house.
