The writing desk, chairs and bar stools arrived this morning in good condition. You're right, the desk is particularly nice, but I think the arm chair might be my new favorite. The photos did not prepare me for how good this chair looks and feels in real life. Stunning, exquisite. Everything is first rate, from the immaculate packing and shipping to the museum-quality chair (it really is art). Those things would be meaningless, though, if it wasn’t comfortable and sturdy, you know, like good furniture. It is. (Cherry was a good choice, too; warm & friendly like a Golden Retriever.)

All in all, some very fine work from the people at Gary Weeks!

The table, chairs and bench are beautiful and perfect in the space. We are truly pleased and admire them daily. I think A. got tired of just looking and encouraged me one night- “Come on, Mom! It is a small world. Last summer found me in Las Vegas attending the Wood Industry convention sourcing additional c-n-c equipment. During a seminar debating implementing or not implementing automation and the fabricating preferences of craftsmen I heard your name and business coincidentally referenced. All I can says is that your work was highly spoken of among your peers… I would conclude you are famous for your craftsmanship… and would agree.

Back to A., believe me I am equally glad to have acquired one of these unique rockers!The beautiful wood and the chair’s lines are absolutely gorgeous.The chair’s design is the most comfortable in our entire home.I’ll enjoy it again tonight.

Yes, Gary! We received it and opened it this morning. It. Is. Beautiful! I had to sit in it just to see what all the fuss was about and he’s right, most comfortable chair ever. Everything about it is done right…down to the felt on the bottom so it isn’t scratching up a wood floor.

So yes, all is very very well and rocking. With one exception, I don’t have one of my own. Yet. 😊

We received our new rocker and footstool on Saturday. We could not be more pleased with it! It arrived in perfect condition, and if anything, was even nicer than we could have expected! It is simply gorgeous, and amazingly comfortable. We've only been able to show it off to our daughter so far, but she said the same thing we did when we saw it. WOW!

We are thrilled with the rocker and footstool, and very happy that we still have a full set of dining chairs to look forward to receiving. And my wife is very pleased with me for finding you and your company, and for convincing her that this was a wonderful idea.

Hi Gary,

I did receive the rocking chair, just when you said it would come. And the delivery person was very pleasant and helpful. I rock in it almost every evening. It is my "let it be" chair.

It seems each time I sit in it I find something else to like about it. Just the other night I discovered if I turn a little and hang one leg over the arm I can use the edge of the back support slats and the rocking motion to massage my back. Aaah. I don't have any problems with my tailbone resting on the seat, which is a nice surprise. I especially like that the slats in the back leave a spot for my spine right in the middle, that there's room for me to tuck my feet underneath, and that it rocks pretty far without ever feeling unstable. And it's absolutely beautiful.

I almost hate to give any non-positive feedback, because it might make you think I enjoy my chair less or expect you to do anything about this stuff. But you seem like you might appreciate it... So this is just for your information; no need to respond.

- The bottom of the shipping box was very dirty - that black greasy dirt that sticks to things. If I had carpet instead of hardwood floors I would probably have had to clean the carpet afterwards.

- I find that resting my arms on the arm rests isn't all that comfortable. I'm not sure why. They feel a little too high and far away from my body. I am about average height for a woman (5'-7") but I think I have long arms for my height. And I'm on the slender side. In fact it's more comfortable for me to tuck my elbows through the back of the chair and put my hands on the seat next to my behind.

Last night my good friend M. came over and spent some time in the rocking chair. She's had a difficult few weeks and she really seemed to find the rocking chair soothing. She also thought it was beautiful.

I have been meaning to write to you since the chair arrived on Tuesday. My daughter-in-law texted me that it had arrived, and according to her text, she said "It's stunning! This is so interesting. I was thinking that I should email you and say thanks to you and your team for getting us our beautiful chairs. They are beautiful and we love them. They take away a little of the sting of losing all the dining room furniture and will allow us to start a brand new set of memories once the house is livable. Things continue to progress, but it's still not complete. Now we're just hoping for June.

We just got back from our annual ski trip to Switzerland and got to visit the stool we had you make for our friends. They still use it every day and it has mellowed to a beautiful color. It made us smile and think of you guys.

Gary, we are very pleased with the new chair and footstool...My artistic wife said, “tell him the chair is beautiful..., a work of sculpture in wood”. And we are using the footstool with a $3000 Eames lounge chair. As for the 6+ year old rocker, this summer we loaded it into the back of our Audi, drove into Michigan to the house of a young nephew who just had his first child, a very large baby boy named H. He and his wife needed a rocker and they just loved this chair. We later heard they were inviting family members over to see the rocker, let alone the new baby!
