Yes, the rockers and footstool arrived in excellent condition last week. We appreciated the packaging design and how well protected they were during shipment.

And, I must say, the design, craftsmanship, and comfort of the rockers is unparalleled. I keep looking at the joinery, the curves, the grain — and I continue to find things that amaze me (especially as a woodworking enthusiast). I continue to run my hands along the edges, and find these complex curves and shapes that are so pleasing to the hand, and the eye. And, to top it off, it’s a real test to see two rockers side by side, and admire the repeatability of your work. We absolutely love them.

In addition, your customer experience has been excellent. From ordering, to payment, to delivery, to followup, and all of the communication along the way. That stuff is not easy to do well, and it is obvious that you put a priority on getting these right. Thank you.

When Forrest called I told him I was tickled to hear from him and he said that he had the world's most beautiful rocking chair on his truck for me. He was not lying! It is absolutely gorgeous! The grain is beautiful, the matching and alignment of the grain on separate pieces is amazing and the workmanship is beyond anything I've seen. Every day I find some detailed piece of craftsmanship that blows me away. If you can't tell, I LOVE the chair.

The one question I have is care and feeding for the chair. From the website it would appear the my rocker has an oil finish and not wanting to do anything that might detract from it's beauty I'd appreciate knowing what you would recommend to clean and treat it. Hi Gary and Autumn – the rocker, footstool and table arrived on Friday, March 5th.

I must say, the packing in the those containers was so secure. Everything arrived with our a scratch and shipping boxes showed no sign of being dropped or crushed.

What a uniquely exquisite shopping experience!! Found Gary’s website searching for a special rocker for my wife. Hand made in USA, high quality wood options, clearly intelligent but subtle design modifications for comfort...so that’s a great product! What blew me away was a personal phone call from Gary to discuss an inlay question I had, shipping options close to Christmas, any other questions or requests I might have...all with that endearing TX accent and mirrors the authentic and sincere videos on the website. The chair and footstool arrived yesterday and I think I'm in heaven -- haven't sat on the sofa once since it arrived!

The delivery company, XPO Logistics, was wonderful. Per your instructions, they called Monday to set up a delivery time window. Check the box for damage? It looked as if it had just been loaded on the truck, not a mark or speck of dirt anywhere. We have a steep driveway and the driver had to park up on the street. He kindly offered to unpack the chair and take away the box. Then he insisted on not only carrying it in, but completely helped me unwrap it:

I asked B. to try it and he couldn't imagine putting his feet up that high on a footstool until he did so. He was amazed at the back support...

I will not only use the chair but treasure it!

Dear Gary,

Arrived! Unpacked!! Situated!!! My son enthusiastically and most carefully unwrapped the solid crate and placed my priceless possession in the den, its permanent home.

So I came home from work to pure delight. Perfection. Such exquisite craftsmanship!! The chair is even more beautiful than the pictures, with the wood patterns so cleverly assembled. The construction details are flawless. And the smoothness of the wood is simply incredible. This rocker will now provide decades of comfort and soothing pleasure, destined as the family heirloom.

I want to passionately thank you, Gary, for your truly personal and outstanding customer service. You never failed to provide information, honesty, and patience with my endless questions during countless communications throughout the whole process.

Too, I realize the whole team (including your gifted son Austin) participated in the rocker's creation. Thank you to everyone for your very professional work and care. Actually, the Gary Weeks' rocker is a masterpiece of furniture making. Made in America and so very proud of your company and MY new chair!

Hoping all is well. Here’s my take on the rocker.

My solid cherry rocking chair arrived recently. Virtus Propter Se - Excellence or virtue for it’s own sake ! This is an art object of stunning beauty. Transcendental hand craft. Seemingly impossible? Except: there it is.

I’m a retired master carpenter living in a cabin in central Alaska. A custom rocker has been a long time desire. I’m a minimalist so I had to think carefully if this was the material possession to add to my small cabin. I’ve had a lifelong pursuit of high skill levels in a number of areas : virtuoso classical piano studies, degrees in classical piano and philosophy, 40 years of carpentry and woodworking, serious reading, long distance paddling, skiing, and backpacking, subsistence hunting and fishing, building a homestead, etc. I say all that to say - I’m a bit of a fanatic when it comes to skill and excellence! It takes a great deal to turn my head. My head has been turned. I’ve carefully scrutinized the rocker. It’s as close to perfection as any piece I’ve seen. Kind of spooky actually. The closest I’ve seen is a master wooden boat builder I knew when I lived in the Alaskan coastal village of Haines.

Gary,family and the entire group are extremely easy to work with. And lastly, although not cheap, the chair is very reasonably priced. Frankly, I don’t know how a product of this quality can be made for the price?

I’m already thinking I might need a straight chair at some point!

The chair was delivered today, in perfect condition, with the stool nestled inside. Great job packing the chair! And the cardboard we'll use as weed barrier under pine straw. The cardboard ought to work for years. It's good and thick.

We have a pair again, at last. And in time for our golden years. One delightful note is the degree that cherry darkens over time. Our old chair is 20 years darker. I know cherry does that, but will the new chair ever catch up--that is, does the darkening slow down? And may we both live to 90 to find out. For now, we have his and her chairs, with hers of course being the one I didn't destroy and replace.

A bow and hat tip to you and all your crew! Very, very well done! Y'all give life to these chairs--make them characters in our story. And that's rare, indeed.

I ordered one of your walnut rockers as a present for my wife for her 60th birthday. She's wanted a rocking chair for quite some time to rock our grandchildren. I can't tell you how happy she is with the chair.

It's more beautiful than I imagined and is extremely comfortable. Our 5'3" daughter and 6'2" son-in-law were there and we all tried it out. I don't know how you did it but everyone who sat in the chair felt it was designed for them. My wife also commented on how 'soft' the wood is because it's so smooth. Never thought I would hear wood described as soft. It's really hard to walk past the chair and not sit down in it and relax for a while.

The service you provide is also top notch and something I really appreciate. You and Austin were very responsive, even though it was during the Christmas holiday. There was great communication throughout the ordering and shipping process. Even Mainfreight, the company you use to ship the chair, provided outstanding service.

The photos did not prepare me for how good this chair looks and feels in real life. Stunning, exquisite. Everything is first rate, from the immaculate packing and shipping to the museum-quality chair (it really is art). Those things would be meaningless, though, if it wasn’t comfortable and sturdy, you know, like good furniture. It is. (Cherry was a good choice, too; warm & friendly like a Golden Retriever.)

All in all, some very fine work from the people at Gary Weeks!

Hi Gary,

I did receive the rocking chair, just when you said it would come. And the delivery person was very pleasant and helpful. I rock in it almost every evening. It is my "let it be" chair.

It seems each time I sit in it I find something else to like about it. Just the other night I discovered if I turn a little and hang one leg over the arm I can use the edge of the back support slats and the rocking motion to massage my back. Aaah. I don't have any problems with my tailbone resting on the seat, which is a nice surprise. I especially like that the slats in the back leave a spot for my spine right in the middle, that there's room for me to tuck my feet underneath, and that it rocks pretty far without ever feeling unstable. And it's absolutely beautiful.

I almost hate to give any non-positive feedback, because it might make you think I enjoy my chair less or expect you to do anything about this stuff. But you seem like you might appreciate it... So this is just for your information; no need to respond.

- The bottom of the shipping box was very dirty - that black greasy dirt that sticks to things. If I had carpet instead of hardwood floors I would probably have had to clean the carpet afterwards.

- I find that resting my arms on the arm rests isn't all that comfortable. I'm not sure why. They feel a little too high and far away from my body. I am about average height for a woman (5'-7") but I think I have long arms for my height. And I'm on the slender side. In fact it's more comfortable for me to tuck my elbows through the back of the chair and put my hands on the seat next to my behind.

Last night my good friend M. came over and spent some time in the rocking chair. She's had a difficult few weeks and she really seemed to find the rocking chair soothing. She also thought it was beautiful.

I received my cherry rocking chair in perfect condition on July 24. It’s safely situated in my home and I absolutely love the chair. You have created a truly beautiful chair, elegant in its simplicity and quite graceful in appearance. I am delighted to have this hand-crafted rocker in my home. I had a friend come over to receive the delivery with me, and she could not get over the incredible lumbar support in the chairs. (I was of course already accustomed to it from my parents' furniture!)
